This Privacy Policy describes how AlgoMonster ("AlgoMonster", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://algo.monster (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account information. When you create an account or sign in with a third-party provider such as Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We use this information to create and identify your account. We do not receive or store your password when you sign in with Google.
Payment information.If you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive from Stripe the information needed to manage your subscription, such as your email address, the plan purchased, and payment status. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Usage information. As you use the Service, we record your learning progress, such as completed lessons, problem submissions, quiz answers, and code you write in our in-browser editor, so that your progress is saved across sessions and devices.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we and our analytics providers automatically collect log and device information, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, through cookies and similar technologies.
We use the information we collect to provide and operate the Service, save and sync your learning progress, process payments and manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, send transactional emails about your account or purchases, understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, and detect and prevent fraud or abuse. If you opt in to product or marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
When you choose to sign in with Google, we request only basic profile information (your name, email address, and profile picture) to authenticate you and create your account. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google user data beyond basic profile information.
AlgoMonster's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects information such as pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address. You can learn how Google uses this data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics browser add-on. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may prevent you from staying signed in.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service (such as Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing, and Google Analytics for usage analytics), when required by law or to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
We retain your account information and learning progress for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will delete it except where we are required to retain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting purposes).
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
The Service is operated from servers that may be located outside your country. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email.
